Given Nawra

Given is 37 years old and has been a craftsman since the age of 12. His preferred medium is wood, he specialises in large ebony, Mukwa and Jacaranda carved Heads.

Kabwata Craftsmen

Most of the craftsman are sent to school by their families. They learn their crafts from their fathers, helping out when they are not in school. They eventually drop out of school and take to carving full time as a means of making a living. The skills are passed on from father to son.
